You are ready to move. Move inwardly. Move outwardly.

You know that movement transforms your life, whether it's the movement of the breath or the way you position your feet while you walk.

And it's not just moving the body. It's the emotions and the beliefs, too. It's movement of the whole self so that you can transcend your pain and dysfunctions, live into wholeness, live out your truth and (finally) love your life.

Now, for the first time, we're going to do this together. We're doing to take the richness that is HeartBody Method and we're going to combine it with the immense beauty of Santa Fe and the profound power of being together in person.

      Are you ready?

              • You want to be on better speaking terms with your body
              • You know that HOW you feel emotionally impacts what's going on with you physically
              • You have pain or tension that you just can't seem to make go away

              • Parts of you aren't working and you're ready to figure out what's going on
              • You want more than to look good or fit your doctor's description of "healthy" - you want to feel SAFE in your body
              • You're afraid to take the leap into heart-centered movement but you want to make the leap anyway
              • Some part of you thinks you might possibly, just maybe, deserve to feel really good
              • You want to feel alive
              • You want to bring a more heart-centered approach to movement into your OWN teaching practice
              • You know that if you don't start making the connections between what's going on in your body and what's going on your heart, you're never going to have the life you dream of
              • You feel anxious about moving more, exercising more
              • You want to feel RELAXED in your body, and refreshed

Hey there! I'm Jennifer Gleeson Blue.

As a heart-centered movement teacher, I equip women who are on a journey to stop battling against themselves — their physical and emotional pain, their limitations, their family and even the culture at large — by transforming their fight, embracing their vulnerability and moving into their truth and wholeness. I've recently moved to Santa Fe, NM, work with students and clients all over the world, and generally try to be outside as much as possible.

You can find my blog, etc., over at The Resilient Body.

This HeartBody work is so central to my life, to the way I live in and see the world.

In some ways, my most significant credentials center on the fact that I have been exploring this path for years. I've shown up to myself in bold and powerful ways. I keep pressing my own boundaries, finding that they extend when I offer love and give different stimuli. I play around with movement, I spend a lot of time exploring how things feel in my body. And I go to therapy and trauma-sensitive yoga retreats. I have deep bodywork done, I practice Aware Parenting, I am outside a lot, I am open to challenge and change and growth.

And then there are my students and clients. In 2006 I certified as a life coach and spent the better part of a decade helping them get to the stuff that matters. When I began to study alignment and corrective exercises, I took that experience and brought it into this work. The people I work with stop peeing their pants and they climb literal mountains and have easier births. And they start to become their own body experts - knowing what movements they need, knowing how to take care of themselves, knowing where to turn when they are freaking out. You can get a sense for this work over at my main site, The Resilient Body.

Of course, this comes with credentials and initials and whatnot. I am a Nutritious Movement™ Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist and am now part of the teaching staff for new, certifying students. I hold a certificate in life coaching from Coach University and have been trained in Restorative Breathing™. I make daily use of my bachelors in communication studies, too. 😉

Additionally, I read books on trauma and anatomy and I adore fiction and Harper's Magazine. I spend a lot of time with my son and I co-parent with my husband, to whom I've been hitched since 2002. When I'm not pregnant (which I am right now), I eat an extensive amount of super dark chocolate and I count on naturopathy, acupuncture, visceral manipulation, laughter and a ton of my own movement practice to keep me well.

I maintain a playlist of current pop music to which I unabashedly throw regular dance parties in order to nurture my inner 13 year old.

Some things you might wish to know about...

                                FOOD
All meals are included starting with Friday's dinner and going through Sunday's dinner. We're going to have amazing food cooked by the amazing Leah Van Tassel (more below). All dietary needs will be taken into account to ensure you are well-fed and healthy. Of course, if you like to have your own special snacks, etc., I certainly encourage you to bring them!

                                ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodations are not included and are on your own. I have a feeling a large group of people will be wanting to rent an Airbnb together and I'm happy to connect you to others who are exploring this option. Whether you are wanting an Airbnb or a hotel or to camp a little ways out of town, I recommend booking early, since Santa Fe is a popular tourist destination.

                                TRAVEL
Travel is also not included. Santa Fe has a somewhat serviceable bus system and there's plenty in walking distance, depending on where you stay. Uber works, too! As with accommodations, I recommend connecting with others to see how you might share transportation costs.

As for air travel, you can fly into Albuquerque (ABQ) which is about an hour away or Santa Fe (SAF) which is about 15 minutes outside of town. The latter is extremely convenient, but the options are much more limited. The Railrunner train runs from Albuquerque (although you need to take a bus or Uber to get to the train station) and will drop you near downtown Santa Fe. Alternatively, there is the Sandia Shuttle which takes you to/from ABQ and your destination in Santa Fe.

                                ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
There is SO much to do around here, from hot springs to hiking to museums to good dining. If you have time on either end of the retreat to do some decompressing and relaxation, you'll find yourself with access to all sorts of goodness.

I have loved growing food, cooking, and shared meals since childhood. I've worked in restaurants, coffee shops, a bakery and a catering company doing everything from serving, food prep, dishes and delivery driver. I moved to New York City in 2014 and enrolled in the Chef Training Program at The Natural Gourmet Institute (NGI). During the three years I lived in NYC my personal chef business grew into working with clients full time to provide health-supportive meals made thoughtfully from scratch and highlighting seasonal vegetables, locally-raised & sustainable seafood, meat and dairy. I also had the privilege of collaborating with a handful of talented chef friends on small events including private dinners, intimate wedding receptions and yoga retreat weekends in upstate New York. I also taught public classes at NGI and led demos at the Union Square Greenmarket. Currently, I'm putting down roots in Minnesota, exploring new friendships, movement practices and business possibilities.

I'm so excited to be a part of this HBM retreat and look forward to creating meals to nourish our bodies, minds, and desire for community. Special diet requirements, food allergies or intolerances, and special requests will be honored and embraced so that you get what you need and feel nurtured.

Are you ready to join me for this very special experience?
